Hey Panthers! Join us for a night under the stars! The FHS Court Dance will be held on Saturday, January 28th. The ceremony will start at 7:30, and the dance will follow. We hope to see you there!
All FHS students report to their Advisor at the beginning of first period. Student schedules will be sent to student emails this evening.
FHS will be administering the ASVAB examination tomorrow (1/18/23). The test will begin at 9:00am in the FHS media center computer lab. Those that are scheduled to attend must arrive by 8:45am.
There are still limited spaces available for the ASVAB test. The test is available to Juniors and Seniors only. If interested, please contact Dan Gibson (School Counselor) via email daniel.gibson@macon.k12.nc.us.
Local scholarships applications are available in the Senior Google Classroom and in the Counseling office.
Drivers Ed will be having a 200 question exemption test on January 28th at 9am in FHS in cafeteria. You will need to go to wncdrivingschool.com to register for this test. Make sure to read website for items to bring on test date.

Exams for courses with state testing will be given January 9-13 with first period exams on the 9th, second period exams on the 10th and so on. Exam periods during this week will extend from 8:05 each morning until 12:30. Review sessions for the next scheduled exam will be offered each afternoon. Absences next week will be recorded, but will not count against students for attendance policy purposes. Students who wish to leave after the exam period must have a physical paper note to turn in before leaving at 12:30. Students will not be called out of class during the exam period. If your student has an unavoidable conflict, please notify Pam Roper as soon as possible by calling the front desk at 524-6467.
Parents of FHS Seniors - Scholarship season has begun! Make sure that your student is checking the "Class of 2023 Seniors" Google Classroom regularly, as we are going to be frequently updating new scholarship opportunities over the next few weeks! Please reach out to the school counselors for more information!

The morning learning center schedule has changed. There will be 3 morning opportunities this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (Dec 13-15) and 3 more morning opportunities after break on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Jan 4-6). Morning learning center time is 6:25am - 8:00am. Students must have a note from their teacher to attend learning centers. There will be no morning opportunities scheduled for the week of exams (Jan 9-13). If you have any questions, please see your teacher.

This is a reminder from FHS as we draw close to the end of the semester. Students who are enrolled in community college courses for dual credit will have that grade contribute to their GPA with the high school as well as with the community college.
