📣 Attention Panther Nation! 📣 Homecoming Week is just around the corner (starting 10/7), and this year, we’re taking a different approach! As we support our surrounding counties affected by Hurricane Helene, let’s focus on community, unity, and spirit rather than competition. 🗓️ Spirit Days: Monday: Wear blue to support West Henderson and Smoky Mountain! 💙 Tuesday: Rock yellow for Tuscola! 💛 Wednesday: Don your purple for North Henderson! 💜 Thursday: Go green for East Henderson! 💚 Friday: Wear red to Show your Panther pride and support Pisgah! ❤️ ✨ Fundraiser Alert! ✨ As part of our Homecoming Week, we’re reaching out to support our neighboring counties impacted by Hurricane Helene. “Coins for Conference” is a special campaign dedicated to raising funds for schools within our conference that have faced significant damage and loss. They need our help to rebuild, recover, and restore the resources essential for their students and staff. Every penny counts! We invite FHS students, staff, and our entire community to contribute any loose change or cash throughout the week. Donation buckets will be set up around campus, making it easy to lend a helping hand. Together, we can help provide the essentials they need to recover and rebuild. Thank you for showing up for our neighbors and helping us make a meaningful impact. Let’s come together to lift up those who need it most! 💪💖 Let’s uplift our community and make a meaningful impact together! Thank you for your support! 💪💖 #FHSFamily #Homecoming2024 #CoinsForConference

From FHS Golf Coach Ryan Raby Panther Golf fans, needless to say, Monday's tournament has been postponed. Many people have much bigger concerns right now than a golf tournament. Like everyone else, I have had no service. I had to come to the verizon store to get on their wifi. We will work with our friends at Trillium and come up with a date to reschedule as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please pray for all affected.

Monday was an amazing night for soccer at FHS! While we didn’t get the win on the scoreboard, our players had an opportunity to give back to the community. They offered many of our future Panthers Soccer Players a chance to experience taking the field with the team. In a perfect world, we would have won the match, as well. However, tonight gave the men on the team a glimpse of what it’s like to be a mentor. Also, we can’t thank the fans enough for the amazing support you showed tonight! You cheered the team on all the way through. You helped create an atmosphere that gave the guys on the team a burst of energy to keep up the effort. Proud to be a Franklin Panther!

On Wednesday, September 18, Macon County students attended Noon Rotary. During this time, students were able to share about their experiences with Southwestern Community College Public Safety pathway and the new Firefighter Academy. In addition, Hunter Jamison, a former Franklin High School graduate and current employee of the Macon County Sheriff's Office, was able to share his experience as he is a product of the Public Safety pathway. A very special shout out to Larry Pickens for his dedication to this program and these students! Panther football senior Braydon Hervey has earned statewide recognition. With 491 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns in his first three games, Braydon Hervey is off to a historic start, leading Franklin to 20-point wins over Murphy, Robbinsville and Swain. Recently the N.C. High School Athletic Association named Hervey the first-ever male winner of its new Performance of the Month award, given to just two athletes across the state for the month of August. The senior has also posted two interceptions including one returned for a touchdown, and 140 return yards for an all-purpose total of 631.
