Bus #156 will not run this afternoon (03/25/25).

Juniors!
Registration time is here! There are many things to consider as a rising high school senior.
In order to qualify to be 4yr University bound students will need a Math course beyond Math3 and 2 levels of a foreign language. These are not typically required for a community college admission or high school diploma.
Seniors must have a full 4 class schedule in the fall, but may register for up to 2 'Release' periods for their spring semester. If graduation requirements are met they may choose not to return for classes in the spring. (These students are welcome to participate in all senior activities like prom, grad walk and graduation.)
Seniors may decide to use elective requests to complete a pathway in Career and Technical courses, complete a community college certificate in a vocational area or earn transferable credit with AP classes or online CCP courses (qualify with a 3.0 unweighted GPA).
Rising seniors need to be thinking about their plan after graduation and planning accordingly for further education, beginning a career or military service.
All rising seniors are encouraged to discuss these options with parents and guardians. Senior registration begins next week. Please give your decisions some serious thought.
Please take these decisions seriously. Schedule changes will only be considered for the following reasons:
1) You are registered for a course you have already passed
2) You have a course with a prerequisite that you have not completed
3) Your schedule is missing a required course

A Huge Thank You to Principal Sutton & Volunteers!
With Macon Middle School (MMS) and Franklin High School (FHS) sharing athletic spaces at MMS, we’re incredibly grateful for Principal Mark Sutton and all the dedicated volunteers who worked hard to improve the fields!
Thanks to their efforts, new sod has been installed, making an immediate and much-needed improvement. While significant progress was made, the project isn’t fully complete—eight pallets of sod weren’t enough to cover everything.
If you’d like to help Mr. Sutton secure more sod to finish these incredible facilities, please reach out to him at mark.sutton@macon.k12.nc.us or by calling Macon Middle.
Thank you again to everyone who got their hands dirty!
