Macon County just earned FIRST PLACE in all three divisions of the SMART Tank competition out of 17 team from across the region competing:

SMART Tank is a “Shark Tank”-style entrepreneurship competition sponsored by the STEM-E Program through the Cherokee Preservation Foundation, and our students truly shined on this stage.

We look forward to having you join us tomorrow night for the 7th Annual UNIFY March Madness in the Panther Den! Come help celebrate our students and let's make tomorrow night special! The Parade of Champions will begin at 5:30pm and the game tipping off at 6:00pm. A good time will be had by all, see you there!

This Wednesday starting at 5:30 PM, one of the most exciting and meaningful events of the year takes place, the FHS UNIFY March Madness Event! This is a night you won’t want to miss.
Join us for the Parade of Champions at 5:30 PM on Panther Drive, followed by the UNIFY March Madness event at 6:00 PM in the gym.
Be sure to arrive early, this event is often standing room only as students, staff, and the community will pack the Den to support this incredible program.

🎓 Scholarship Recognition
Kaylee Roten received the FBLA Professional Division Scholarship.

Franklin High School’s FBLA students had an incredible showing at the NC FBLA State Leadership Conference and we are extremely proud of their accomplishments!
🏆 Timothy Bishop earned 1st Place in Public Speaking. Timothy’s speech impressed judges and audiences alike, showcasing outstanding preparation and confidence on stage.
🏆 Jaxon Stamey placed 1st in Introduction to Business Presentation. After his partner was unable to continue in FBLA, Jaxon stepped up to complete the entire presentation himself, even conducting a survey of students across all grade levels on AI usage to strengthen his research.
📘 Gold Seal Chapter Award – Congratulations to Owen Brooks, Summer Herndon, and Alexis Owen, who completed a detailed report highlighting Franklin High School FBLA’s accomplishments, competitions, and community service efforts.
🤝 Community Service Project – Top 10 Finish Addison Powell and Deyton Randall placed in the Top 10 for their Community Service Project, which included a comprehensive written report and presentation on FHS FBLA Christmas gift giving to MCH for almost three decades.
🗳 Student Leadership Achievement Gabriel Hopkins successfully campaigned and was elected Western Region Vice President for North Carolina FBLA, earning the support of a two-thirds majority vote.
👏 Advisor Recognition Franklin High School’s FBLA program was also recognized with Michelle Brooks as NC FBLA Adviser of the Year and Regional Adviser of the Year honors.
🎉 National Leadership Conference Franklin High School will have eight FBLA members representing our school at the FBLA National Leadership Conference this summer.
We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, leadership, and commitment to excellence. They continue to represent Franklin High School in an outstanding way!






Franklin High School, Student Council, and the CAMINO Club invite all students to attend this year’s Mr. and Ms. FHS Ceremony and Dance on Saturday, March 21st.
The ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM in the Fine Arts Center, with the dance to follow from 8:00–10:00 PM in the cafeteria.
Dance admission is $5 per student.
We look forward to seeing everyone there for a great evening at FHS!
