**Shawn went on to play for the University of Tennessee Volunteers and was part of the team that competed in the first-ever Bowl Championship Series (BCS) National Title Game in 1998. In that game, Shawn etched his name in college football history by scoring the very first touchdown of the BCS National Championship Era. His performance was instrumental in Tennessee’s National Title win against the Florida State Seminoles in the Fiesta Bowl. After his successful college career, Shawn was drafted into the NFL by the Buffalo Bills and eventually finished his football career as a member of the Detroit Lions.
