
Macon County Schools is now accepting lunch applications and meal payments.
If your student attends Cartoogechaye Elementary, East Franklin Elementary, Iotla Valley Elementary, Macon Early College, Macon Middle, Mountain View Intermediate, Nantahala, South Macon, or Union, they will receive meals at no cost as a part of the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2023-2024 school year. We do still encourage meal applications to help your child/children with other eligibilities and to help support the school district.
Macon County Schools is utilizing a new system and parent portal where you can submit meal applications and pay meal fees. Macon County Schools is no longer using lunchapplication.com or K12 Payment Center, and you are now unable to make payments with your old account.
To continue making meal payments, please create a new account at https://www.linqconnect.com
You may also submit meal applications through LINQ Connect for the current school year.

July 31st- August 5th- Full Band- Band Camp Week 1- 8:30am-6pm
August 7th-11th- Full Band- Band Camp Week 2- 8:30am-6pm
August 10th- Band Parent Preview and Booster Meeting- 5pm
Lunch will be provided each day. Members are encouraged to bring water bottles, tennis shoes, sun screen, instruments and/or equipment.

Prestige Portraits has been chosen as your official Senior Portrait Yearbook Photographer.
Your school is requesting that every Class of 2024 Senior make an appointment with Prestige to have
their portraits taken over the summer at school. Don’t miss out on being in the yearbook! You must be
photographed by Prestige to be included in the 2023/24 yearbook..
We will be at your school on the dates below to offer these special photography sessions.

Senior Portraits included in your school’s yearbook will require students dressed in either a Black Drape
or a Tuxedo. Prestige will provide these outfits at the time of your session. Please wear appropriate
undergarments under these outfits. We suggest a white t-shirt for the tux and something strapless to wear
under the drape. Also, don’t forget to bring up to two outfits for your casual pictures!

Yearbook Distribution Information:
If you did not pick up your yearbook on Wednesday or Thursday of this week, the yearbook staff will be in the main office on Friday May 26th from 10-12 for you to pick up your yearbook.
We will also be available in the main office starting on May 30th through June 2nd from 9am-3pm. Any yearbooks not picked up before then will be held until August 15th when Teacher Workdays begin. No yearbooks will be available for pickup during the summer as our staff will be unavailable to assist.

Tonight, representatives from the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) will be on campus to make a presentation about planning for college and preparing to handle what the next 18 months will bring. The event will begin at 5:30pm in the FHS Fine Arts Building Auditorium. The event is open to Juniors at all schools in the Macon County School System.
